Spoken Word: Vol. III
O Lord you have searched me and known me
Not deserted me but formed me
you have cured me and shown me the way of life granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasure of living with you forever
Oh Lord you have stirred my heart and held me in the gentleness of your palms
You are not far off when I draw near to you
You hear my words and the depths of my song
You take note of every major and minor detail through and through
When I sit you know it
When I stand you know it
My hand you hold it
My soul you restored it
My heart you rewired it
My life you desire it
My spirit you acquired it
My joy you supply it
My feet you guide them
My thoughts you align them
My enemies you despise them
My needs you provide for them
Beating with anticipation is the flame of my heart
You are still my first love and you formed my inward parts
I long to be with you and nothing can separate us
Darkness had its chance but failed in its attempt because of Jesus
Behold – you know it altogether
Every word from my tongue to
My motives
My thoughts
And my behaviors
You know me
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me
It is so high I cannot contain it
Where can I go to hide from your spirit
Where could I possibly go to escape your presence
If I ascend into heaven, you are there
If I make my bed in the depths, you are there
I have opened up the windows of my soul and your light has pierced my shaded curtain
Morning begins and I take flight with the wings of a new days promise
Unformed in the womb you took notice
Your eyes were fixed on me and you saw my substance
How precious are your thoughts to me God!
The greatest sum of them are rich in abundance
If I should count them, they would outnumber each grain of sand
Search me O God, and know my heart
Try me, and know my anxieties
See if there is any wicked way in me
And lead me in the way everlasting
